Update
Wow, it's February which means I haven't posted anything new in a couple months. Unfortunately that's because I really haven't been shooting that much. More than anything, it's because I don't have that much time. College this semester is a lot more work than it was last semester. I'm doing my best to stay on top of things. I'm hoping to photograph some more concerts in the next couple months so that should hopefully happen. I came very very close to photographing the band Flogging Molly on the 26th. Unfortunately, I don't have a ticket. The show is sold out. The guest list for the band is full. If I could get into the show I could photgraph it, too bad I don't have a way of getting into the show. As always, if you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment. Or shoot me an email at: rist @ colorado.edu

More Bluegrass
I know how much you all love that good old-fashioned folk festival. I realize that I have a few people that appear more than once -- notably Sam Bush -- but it felt wrong not to put these images up as well. Enjoy, and as always, let me know what you think. I found a different way of posting mass quantities of images giving you the chance to see the larger image in it's own context. Enjoy.

Nathan

New Photos
The photos aren't excactly "new," but they are from the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. I'm sure you are all very excited to finally start seeing some of these photos. I have many more on the way, and so consider this just a nice selection.

P.S. Just thought I would make the note that I have not photoshopped these images in any way except for sizing and adding the watermark.

Updates
I knew it had been a while since I updated, but I didn't actually think it had been over a month already. What can I say? College life has kept me busy. I had a few free-lance assignments from the CU Campus Press but I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks. I'll at least try to get the pictures I took for the Campus Press up on this site within the next few days. I still have the Bluegrass Festival pictures to go through. It's amazingly difficult to find the time and motivation to page through a couple thousand photos. I sincerely hope people are still visiting my blog, I only ask for some comments so that I know my efforts are not in vain.

Coming Soon
I just recieved the DVD which has all of my pictures from the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. However, when I say "all of my pictures" I mean everything. It will likely take me a few days to find enough time to go through the 1700+ pictures and pick out the best ones. Check back soon.

Coming Soon
On Sunday, September 17th, I have a press pass to photgraph the Dalai Lama at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. If you will be going, you may be able to spot me as I will likely be the only younger blond photgrapher running around with the rest of the press. As soon as I can get those photos edited I'll be posting some of them up here. If anyone has questions or comments you can reach me at: rist (at) colorado.edu
